My hand, holding a custom fuchsia memorial bead with sterling silver wirework made for D.

I have the best job in the world: I get to play with fire and help people feel better.

I began making lampwork beads in 2007, and have been creating jewelry since 1992. I delight in playing with fire and exploring the limitless potential of color and form that glass presents. My work centers on detailed lampwork focal beads and memorial art beads, created with conscious loving intent. All of my work is lovingly hand-crafted by me in my Washington state studio.

Knowing that the memorial art glass I create helps people work through their grief gives my work a deeper meaning.

I’ve been an artist all my life – as a child, I drew, colored, painted, and made books. When I was a teen, I took every art class offered by my high school, as well as metal shop and wood shop. I continued my learning adventure by taking many classes including photography, chain maille, precious metal clay (PMC), metal-smithing for jewelers, beaded embroidery, and lampwork beadmaking. I’ve also taken advantage of the many wonderful books, magazines, videos, and online tutorials available to further my education.
